About Us

The Oxford Festival of the Arts is a fortnight of events across the city, which this year takes place between Friday 21st June to Sunday 7th July 2019.

Now in its eleventh year, the Festival is a whirlwind of culture and creativity in venues throughout Oxford. With comedy, dance, exhibitions, film, music, speakers, sport and theatre, we really do have something for everyone! The theme of this year's Festival is CONNECTIONS, across the arts, with the past and between cultures.

We have world-renowned musicians, performers, artists, authors and experts, a classical music world premiere, some of the UK's best stand up comedians and much more to enjoy. There are also plenty of opportunities for our younger visitors to Join In with a wonderful variety of hands-on activities.

The two weeks of the Festival are the pinnacle of Festival activities, our education and community engagement activities run throughout the year involving children from many local primary schools, and much of their work will be showcased during the Festival.

The Oxford Festival of the Arts was an initiative of Magdalen College School in 2008, and the school remains its lead sponsor.
