The University Church of St Mary the Virgin is a lively and inclusive church in the liberal Catholic tradition of the Church of England. Standing in the very centre of Oxford, it is the spiritual heart of the oldest university in Britain. It has been the focus of Christian worship and of debates about religion, politics, and morality for over seven hundred years. The Church also plays host to concerts and events, and the Old Library and Vaults and Garden café are open daily, as is the 13th century tower, which offers a superb view across Oxford.
- It is advisable to use public transport to reach the University Church.
- Oxford has five Park & Ride car parks, with frequent bus links to the city centre.
- Car Parks can be found at Oxpens, Worcester Street and Gloucester Green.
- Please contact the University Church directly for advice on wheelchair access on 01865 279 111.
